and the long cold winter’s nap …

never was good at
the waiting game, quiet game …
leave them in the box

noise inside and out -
dogs, words, more dogs, and more words…
where are my ear plugs?

wishing for peach pie -
with vivid fond memories…
exceedingly good!

try to make brain work -
seems to be thinking some. but…
not altogether

inevitably -
things will get better or worse…
voting for better

feeling not so well -
and playing the waiting game…
observation of self

expendable thoughts -
and those of necessity…
filling up my head

open ears, not other  -
have not learned when to close mouth…
reading lesson book

reminding myself …
just pick up the fragile egg,
walk through the portal
